Badenoch & StrathspeyCo-ordinator: Karen Derrick There are now 130 women listed in the W@W Badenoch and Strathspey area. Our meetings are held monthly from September till June, normally on the last Wednesday of each month. Our two meeting places are The Shelter Stone, Aviemore from 7-9 in the evening and The Garth Hotel in Grantown on Spey from 12-2 over lunchtime. We also occasionally host sessions across the region, in particular when we have the opportunity to explore some of the outdoor activities available here. We currently alternate the meeting place and time each month to try and cover everyone's time and travel constraints. The sessions are informal and lively, and focus on a wide range of issues (see below), which get us thinking and talking together and hopefully allow us to bring away some ideas and tools for changing/improving situations in our lives, or introducing us to new skills. We are aware that there are still a number of members who cannot make the monthly meetings for a variety of reasons. If that is you, please feel free to contact me to see if we can help to get you along to a session as we would really like you to join us. Sessions for 2008 (see diary for details): 30 Jan: Finding the Words, with Kate Williams MacKenzie Previous sessions in 2007: 24 January: Stressed about 2007? Relief is here, with Paulene Warnoch Previous sessions held in 2006: 25 January: An Introduction to Personality Types, with Runa Wolf Earlier sessions included: |
