Gude Cause MarchThe Highland WEA office had a number of activities thanks to funding from Awards for All. In preparation for the March, they organised banner making workshops, and assisted a class of girls at Alness Academy. Making our banners and sashes ...
Then on the 10th of March, a busload of girls from Alness, Dingwall and Fochabers, together with 4 Easter Ross Soroptimists and Susan and Sue from the office took a bus down for the day. We were part of the 'Present' theme - so our banners and outfits reflected modern concerns and fashions. The Inverness banner the Alness banner

Groups who chose the 'Past' theme wore outfits of the time, while the 'Future' theme allowed free reign of the imagination. Altogether there were several thousand who participated, many joining en route. On the march ... from Brunsfield Links
