• Consultation on Scottish Planning Policy. The draft SPP sets out the Scottish Government's planning policy on different types of development such as housing and wind farms, and on environmental issues such as flooding and natural and built heritage. • Women and Criminal Justice System. Fawcett Society is investigating women and the Criminal Justice System. They are interested in the experiences of women working within the criminal justice system, women who have experienced the criminal justice system as suspects, defendants or offenders as well as the experiences of women victims and survivors of crime. • Consultation on European Commission proposals to amend the Pregnant Workers' Directive. (UK Gov't, finished  22 June 2009. )

• The Speaker's Conference on Parliamentary Representation has been asked to look into the reasons why women, disabled people and people from ethnic minorities are under-represented in the House of Commons, and to recommend ways in which the situation can be improved. The Conference is also looking at issues of representation relating to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. The Speaker's Conference invites comments on these issues, and if you are a member of one of these under-represented groups, it would especially like to hear from you. • The House of Lords Information Committee wants to hear from you about how we can improve understanding of the work and role of the House of Lords, and how people would like to interact with the House of Lords and Parliament. • The Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Bill was introduced in the Parliament on 5 March 2009. The Bill's provisions cover three main purposes: sentencing, criminal procedure and licensing, with over 80 policy proposals. (Scottish Gov't, finished 28 April 2009).

• The Scottish Parliament’s Education, Lifelong Learning and Culture Committee is seeking views on the general principles of the Schools (Consultation) (Scotland) Bill. The main purpose of the Bill is to strengthen the consultation process that local authorities undertake before closing a school. • Agricultural Wages in Scotland

• Sexual Offenses (Scotland) Bill
   A Bill has been introduced to the Scottish Parliament to reform the law on rape and sexual offences. The Justice Committee of the Scottish Parliament has issued a call for evidence inviting individuals and interested parties to submit their views on the Bill in writing. • Changing Scotland's Relationship with Alcohol
  This discussion paper sets out our strategic approach to tackling alcohol misuse. (Scottish Executive, finished 9 September 2008 )

• Future Implementation of the Common Agricultural Policy in Scotland 
  As part of the ongoing reforms to the CAP, the European Commission has undertaken an initial consultation on the efficiency and effectiveness of current CAP measures and is now proposing new draft legislation.  This consultation seeks views on what options best meet Scottish needs. •  A UK consultation paper on risk sharing in occupational pensions was published on 5 June. The consultation paper outlines the number of approaches to the sharing of risk which are possible under the current regulatory framework.
