Ross-shire
Co-ordinator: Fiona Doughty
The Ross-shire Women@Work is travelling throughout the area, offering meetings at different locations and times. We try to present topics recommended by members, and encourage new ideas each time.
Meetings have been held on a variety of topics. We’ve looked at memory improvement, presenting yourself at meetings, self-employment, negotiation skills, and power in the workplace. As ever, there has been an interesting mix of people and backgrounds, and a supportive environment to explore issues about making your voice heard.
In the coming months we want to do more! The notices of meetings are sent out to many more people than attend the lunchtime lectures. Is the lunchtime format the best one, or would members like to meet occasionally in the evenings as well, as other Women@Work networks do? Are the topics of interest, or are there others people would like? Should we stay in Dingwall or move around (and if so, to where)? This is your network – so let me know your thoughts!
