Halawa Sugaring is an ancient, natural and very gentle method of hair removal using only sugar, lemon juice and water made into a paste.  The process is similar to waxing but it does not remove skin, only hair and can be used by hand without muslin strips.  The paste is also water-soluble so is easy to wash off unlike wax.

The healing properties of sugar and natural antiseptic properties of lemon make this treatment very kind to your skin. After having many battles – and losing – with my Bic and still having the scars to prove it, I sought another method of removing hair from my legs and discovered sugaring.  I went to a sugaring practitioner in Norfolk for 6 years before moving to live in the Middle East where this method is used extensively.  I learned the techniques myself and became an even more avid proponent of sugaring.  I wonder why anyone considers any other method!  Try it for yourself and see.
