The Fawcett Society has produced a collection of essays entitled. The collection includes contributions from an academic, a politician, a campaigner, an equality and diversity practitioner and a policy influencer.
06 May 08 Drive to help women boost their state pension
Women pensioners could boost their state pension or even be in line for a windfall payment under special terms. But they need to act quickly as the deal, which allows people to pay for missed National Insurance contributions at a reduced rate, will run out in less than two years.
07 May 08 Most vulnerable workers are women
The TUC’s Commission on Vulnerable Employment report “Hard Work, Hidden Lives” revealed that two million workers are “trapped in a continual round of low-paid and insecure work where mistreatment is the norm”. A closer look at the figures shows that nearly two-thirds of these workers are women.
