Workshop presenters: Elizabeth Bryan, WEA Area Tutor Organizer, Edinburgh, Lothian and Borders and Jean Bareham, WEA Course Tutor

Notes by Cath Findlay WEA Women@Work Project Co-ordinator

Elizabeth Bryan met with our group, of twenty, informing us that the walk would illustrate the work of Patrick Geddes and his involvement in the regeneration of the Old Town of Edinburgh. Elizabeth suggested that "a walk gives you a fell for the history".

The Edinburgh Open Programme had started in 2012 and provided classes in history, literature, political studies, art and creative writing.

Evaluations of the projects participants had said that the programme had impacted positively on their "health, happiness and wellbeing".
