Whether you're campaigning about an issue that's important to you, involved in planning for the future of your organisation or responding to consultation documents from local or national agencies, it can be difficult to make your voice heard by the people with power.
This session with Charlotte Lee will be useful to you whether you are looking to be more involved in decisions which affect you and your community or to improve your skills when involving others. We will look at:
Your experience of being involved - positive and negativeLevels of participation - manipulation, information, consultation, deciding together, acting together, supporting independent community interests
- Who has the power?
- How to increase and improve participation
- Local opportunities for involvement
- Identifying the right person/organisation to approach
- Deciding how best to make the approach.
