The Workers' Educational Association (WEA) is a charity and the UK's largest voluntary sector provider of adult education. We are a charity with a strong sense of social purpose, dedicated to bringing great teaching into the heart of local communities. All our educational provision is developed with this in mind and our courses can be set up almost anywhere - for example in clubs, community centres, village halls, schools, pubs or where people work.
The WEA is seeking a Learning and Development Officer who should be an experienced and qualified ESOL practitioner to co-ordinate a range of ESOL delivery, to include professional training, in areas of Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City. The Learning and Development Officer will:
- Allocate, support and supervise ESOL tutors, and oversee quality of teaching in: ESOL for migrant workers and Syrian New Scots in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire.
- Co-ordinate delivery of Continuing Professional Development (CPD), provision
- Foster effective partnership working with other ESOL providers and community-based staff in all relevant areas
Interviews will be held in Aberdeen on Monday 31st of October 2016.
